Evan joined Leone, McDonnell & Roberts in 2002 after graduating from college and has since become a trusted advisor to businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals throughout the region. As a Partner, he leads audit engagements for a diverse client base, including manufacturers, nonprofit organizations, and employee benefit plans. In addition to his client responsibilities, Evan serves as the firm’s Managing Partner, helping guide the firm’s strategic direction and operations.

Elisa Careggio is a Staff Accountant at Leone, McDonnell & Roberts’ North Conway office. Raised in Torino, Italy, Elisa now resides in North Conway, New Hampshire, with her parents and her beloved dog, Luna. She recently graduated from Granite State College (GSC) with a degree in Accounting.

Elisa has always had a love for mathematics, starting in childhood when she dreamed of becoming a math teacher. Before joining Leone, McDonnell & Roberts, Elisa gained valuable experience managing a coffee shop, where she handled payroll, inventory management, and ordering supplies. Her diverse background has equipped her with a strong foundation in various operational aspects of business management.

At Leone, McDonnell & Roberts, Elisa is passionate about helping clients with their taxes and overall business profitability. She appreciates the welcoming atmosphere at Leone, McDonnell & Roberts and values the support and mentorship from her colleagues. A member of the AICPA and NECPAs, Elisa is eager to explore all areas of accounting to find her niche within the field.

Elisa enjoys giving back to the community and has a history of volunteer work, starting during her high school years.

In her free time, Elisa loves traveling to tropical destinations, a passion she shares with her family through frequent cruises. She also enjoys outdoor activities such as walking, hiking with Luna, swimming, skiing, and snowmobiling.

Ellen Cherry is a member of the Leone, McDonnell & Roberts Client Accounting Services team in the Dover office, where she works directly with clients on bookkeeping, payroll, and general accounting. She grew up in the Seacoast area and calls Dover home.

Before joining LMR, Ellen served as Director of Operations, managing office and facility operations while supporting owners, advisors, and client relationships. Prior to that, she spent over 25 years with a Northeast regional construction supply company, finishing her tenure as an operations manager overseeing 13 sales locations across New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

In her role at the firm, Ellen enjoys working closely with clients and providing support that benefits their unique business needs. Her extensive background in operations, accounting, and client service gives her a practical understanding of the challenges many business owners face.

Outside of work, Ellen enjoys golfing, cooking, baking, traveling, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Meet our Wolfeboro Administrative Assistant, Elizabeth “Betty” Roome. Betty first joined the LMRPA team in 2017 — and she’s been successfully running our Wolfeboro reception area ever since. Organized, polished, and a lifelong Wolfeboro resident, Betty is perfectly suited to field incoming calls and greet our clients, visitors, and guests.

In addition to her receptionist duties, Betty also manages a wide range of administrative tasks and projects. Prior to joining LMR, Betty worked in banking and for a local attorney for 29 years. She has also taken paralegal courses at NHTI.
