NH Offers Relief to 2019 Taxpayers

Yesterday, the New Hampshire Department of Revenue announced that it will grant relief to Business Profits Tax (BPT), Business Enterprise Tax (BET) and Interest & Dividends Tax (I&D) taxpayers in the form of payment relief and extensions.

New Hampshire Deadlines

As of today, March 25th, the state of New Hampshire has NOT extended the deadline to file or pay the Business Tax, the Interest & Dividends Tax, Meals & Rentals Tax, or any other tax administered by the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration.

SBA Disaster Assistance

The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering designated states and territories low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Payment Deadline Extended

Following President Trump’s emergency declaration pursuant to the Stafford Act, the US Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) issued guidance allowing all individual and other non-corporate tax filers to defer up to $1 million of federal income tax (including self-employment tax) payments due on April 15, 2020, until July 15, 2020, without penalties or interest.
