Abby Lamothe, CPA, Named Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International
Abby Lamothe, CPA, has been named a Paul Harris Fellow by The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, an honor that recognizes individuals who make outstanding contributions to their communities.
Abby was nominated by the Rotary Club of Dover, NH, in recognition of the ongoing partnership between the Club and Seacoast Sweet Stitches. Through this collaboration, the organizations have hosted multiple community mitten-making workshops as part of the Dover Rotary’s Gifts of Warmth project, chaired by Rotarian Jim Munro.
The workshops are intentionally inclusive, inviting participants of all ages and abilities to take part in creating handmade mittens for neighbors in need. These efforts help provide warmth and comfort to some of New Hampshire’s most vulnerable residents during the winter months.
Seacoast Sweet Stitches is a Maine- and New Hampshire-based volunteer group founded by Abby over a decade ago. The organization is dedicated to crafting handmade items for individuals experiencing homelessness, including hats, scarves, mittens, blankets, and more.
To date, the partnership between the Rotary Club of Dover and Seacoast Sweet Stitches has resulted in dozens of pairs of mittens being distributed to individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness across New Hampshire.
